Wutong Mountain Hike in Shenzhen, Sunset Photos

Two weeks ago Saturday (December 6, 2025 at 10:50 AM Asia/Hong_Kong), I went hiking with friends at Shenzhen Wutong Mountain and would like to share some photos.

Shenzhen Wutong Mountain is a National Scenic Area and National Forest Park located in eastern Shenzheng, spanning Luohu, Yantian, and Longgang districts with a total area of 42.04 square kilometers. Its main peak (Dawutong) reaches 943.7 meters in elevation, known as the “First Peak of Pengcheng” and the highest point in Shenzhen. Famous for its rare, beautiful, tranquil, and expansive scenery with 88.6% forest coverage, it’s called Shenzhen’s “urban lung” and a popular hiking destination.

We took the subway to Shenzhen Foreign Language High School Station, hiked up via Xiutong Trail, and descended through Haohanslope to Wutong Mountain South Station. Lingyun Trail is very steep and narrow - not recommended for ascending.

Photos are compressed in WebP format.
