FNIRSI DSO-TC2 LCR Meter & Digital Oscilloscope 2-in-1 Quick Unboxing Review – the DSO-TC2 is a handheld digital oscilloscope plus transistor tester in one box.
However, its oscilloscope bandwidth is only 200 kHz – practically useless. I bought it for the transistor-testing and LCR-measurement features, which are pretty handy.
Picked it up on Taobao for a bit over 200 RMB.
Overview
This product ingeniously combines a digital oscilloscope, component tester and PWM signal generator in one palm-sized unit. A large colour TFT dot-matrix display, built-in rechargeable lithium battery and tiny footprint give users more functions and better portability.
In “Mos Test” mode it identifies all kinds of transistors, pin-out, polarity, hFE and threshold voltage; it also measures capacitors, resistors and inductors.

Testing
Power-on menu lets you choose component test or oscilloscope mode.
Oscilloscope mode
Measuring its own PWM output.
Capacitor test
Nominal 1000 µF electrolytic: DSO-TC2 reads 1093 µF, VC890C+ DMM reads 1097 µF – close enough. Vloss (capacitor loss) is also shown.
Nominal 470 µF: DSO-TC2 420.2 µF, DMM 430 µF.
Nominal 330 nF monolithic: DSO-TC2 349 nF, DMM 346 nF.
DS18B20
DS18B20 temperature sensor works; DHT11 temp/humidity also supported.
Resistance
Nominal 4.7 kΩ: DSO-TC2 4659 Ω, DMM 4.62 kΩ.
Diode test
LED: forward drop 2.51 V, junction capacitance 10 pF (DMM can’t measure).
1N4007: DSO-TC2 703 mV + 2 pF; DMM 583 mV.
Transistor test
BD243C PNP: hFE 429, Ube 666 mV, Iceo 0.35 µA.
MOSFET test
IRF540N N-ch: Vt 3.52 V, Cg 3.194 nF, Rds 0.2 Ω, body-diode Vf 621 mV.

Inductor test
Nominal 33 µH: reads 30 µH, resistance too low to show (0 Ω). Minimum resolution is 10 µH – not great.
