List of Common Shortcuts in EasyEDA Professional Edition (with Function Descriptions)

Adapted from the official EasyEDA Pro documentation (Professional Edition User Guide – Shortcuts page), with additional explanations added for some features whose meanings were unclear.
Applicable version: EasyEDA Professional Edition (Pro).
All shortcuts can be customized in Top Menu - Settings - Shortcuts. You can also switch to the “Standard Edition” or “Altium Designer” style with one click; double-click the corresponding entry to modify it, and click “Restore Defaults” to reset.

I. General Operations (Common to Schematic / PCB)

Shortcut Function Notes
ESC / Right-click Cancel drawing state / close pop-up If you do not want to continue drawing halfway, press Esc to exit the current drawing
Ctrl+S Save All Note: In the Professional Edition, Ctrl+S saves all open documents
Ctrl+Shift+S Save Current Document Opposite to the habit in most software, easy to confuse; keep them distinct
Ctrl+O Open Project
Shift+N New Project
Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y Undo / Redo
Ctrl+X / Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V Cut / Copy / Paste
Ctrl+D Duplicate to Cursor Quick clone: select an object and press Ctrl+D to directly create a copy that follows the cursor, allowing multiple placements in succession
Ctrl+Shift+D Duplicate to Other Layer In PCB, copy the selected object to another layer, such as copying silkscreen or traces to the opposite side
Ctrl+G / Shift+G Group / Ungroup Package multiple objects together and move them as a whole
Ctrl+A Select All
Delete Delete Selection
Ctrl+F Find and Replace Batch find and replace by reference designator, net name, etc.
Ctrl+Shift+F Find Similar Objects Select an object to quickly find all objects of the same type/value
Ctrl+Shift+Left-click Label Open Document in New Window Drag the current tab into a separate window
Shift+` / Ctrl+Shift+` Close Current Tab / Close All Tabs
F1 Open Help Documentation
F11 Full Screen

II. View and Selection

Shortcut Function Notes
K Fit All Automatically zooms the view to display the entire sheet / entire board
Mouse Wheel Zoom View
Long-press Right-click and Drag Move Canvas Pan the view without dragging the scroll bars
Arrow Keys Nudge Selected Object Moves one grid step per press
M Move by Center When moving, aligns the cursor with the object center rather than the point where you grabbed it, making placement more precise
Space Rotate Left In selected or placement state, each press rotates 90° counterclockwise
Shift (long press) Constrain Drawing When drawing wires, forces horizontal/vertical alignment; when drawing rectangles, keeps them square
Tab Properties Pop-up During Placement Press Tab while placing a component/wire/net label to fill in properties directly, without changing them after placement
G Select Overlapping Primitives When multiple objects overlap in the same position, press G to cycle through and select the one underneath
Shift+X Cross Selection When the schematic and PCB are both open, selecting a component on one side automatically highlights and selects the corresponding footprint/schematic symbol on the other side, useful for comparison checks
Ctrl+Shift+X Layout Transfer Automatically places PCB footprints in corresponding positions according to the relative positions of components in the schematic—a great tool for “layout first according to the schematic, then route”

III. Align and Arrange

Shortcut Function
Ctrl+Shift+L / R Align Left / Align Right
Ctrl+Shift+O / B Align Top / Align Bottom
Shift+Alt+E / H Center Horizontally / Center Vertically
Ctrl+Shift+H / E Distribute Evenly Horizontally / Distribute Evenly Vertically
Ctrl+Shift+G Align to Grid (snap selected objects to the grid to fix things that are “crooked”)

IV. Schematic / Symbol Editing

Shortcut Function Notes
Alt+W Draw Wire The most frequently used key in schematics
Alt+B Draw Bus Use together with net labels
Alt+N Place Net Label Labels with the same name are electrically connected automatically
Shift+F Place Component Open the component library search and place
Alt+P Draw Pin Used when drawing custom symbols
Alt+R / Alt+C / Alt+L Draw Rectangle / Circle / Polyline Graphic annotations
Alt+T Draw Text Add labels and notes
Shift+H Highlight / Unhighlight Net After selecting a wire, the entire net changes color so you can see the connections at a glance; press again to cancel

V. PCB Routing and Editing

Shortcut Function Notes
Alt+W Single Route Same key as drawing wires in the schematic; automatically recognized according to document type
Alt+D Differential Pair Routing Differential pair must first be defined in the object properties
Shift+A Length Tuning (Serpentine Routing) In routing state, apply serpentine routing to an already routed net for length matching
Numpad + / - Increase / Decrease Serpentine Gap Adjust the amplitude spacing of the serpentine during length tuning
Shift+W Switch Common Trace Width During Routing Configure several trace widths in settings beforehand, then switch between them with one key while routing without stopping to change properties
Shift+V Switch Common Via During Routing Same as above, but switches via specifications
L Switch Routing Corner Mode Cycle through 45° / 90° / arc corner modes
Space Flip Path During Drawing While drawing, press Space to fold the next corner to the other side
Backspace Backtrack to Previous Point Undo the previous segment during routing
Enter Finish End the current routing/drawing
Alt+V Place Via
Alt+P Place Pad Used when drawing footprints
Ctrl+D Duplicate to Cursor General function, commonly used in PCB for batch via placement and layout copying

VI. PCB View / Layers / Copper Pour

Shortcut Function Notes
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 Switch to Inner Layers 1~4 For multilayer boards, press the number to jump layers directly, faster than clicking the layer panel
Numpad * Switch to Next Copper Layer Shift+Num* switches to the previous copper layer
Alt+T / Alt+B Switch to Top Layer / Bottom Layer
Alt+F Flip Board Flips the view to the back side, useful for checking bottom-layer layout and silkscreen
X / Y Flip Left-Right / Flip Up-Down Mirror selected objects
Shift+S Toggle Layer Brightness (Single-Layer Highlight) Highlights only the current layer and dims the others, very practical when checking traces on a single layer
Alt+H Highlight Net Highlights the entire net
Shift+H Clear All Highlights
Ctrl+R Show / Hide Selected Ratsnest Hide the pre-routing lines for selected components or nets to keep the view clean; press again to restore
Shift+B Rebuild All Copper Pours Recalculate all copper pour fills after changing traces/board outlines
Shift+M Hide / Show Copper Pour Areas Hide them temporarily when copper pours block your view
Ctrl+Q Temporarily Show / Hide Net Names Temporarily toggle net name text labels on wires
Alt+M Measure Distance Measure distance between two points
Q Toggle Units mm / mil Common to both schematic and PCB
Alt+S Snap Toggle Toggle grid/object snapping

VII. A Few Productivity Tips

  1. Preconfigure Trace Widths / Vias: First set common specifications such as 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.5 mm in “Settings - Common Trace Widths / Vias”; while routing, Shift+W and Shift+V let you switch with one key without stopping.
  2. Transfer Layout First, Then Route: Combine Ctrl+Shift+X layout transfer with Shift+X cross selection to double the efficiency of modular layout.
  3. Fill Properties Early with Tab: Press Tab when placing components or drawing wires to change properties directly, skipping the “place first, then double-click” step.
  4. Do Not Mix Up the Save Keys: Ctrl+S = Save All, Ctrl+Shift+S = Save Current, which is the opposite of most conventional software.
  5. Not Used to the Style? Altium veterans can switch directly to AD style in “Settings - Shortcuts”.
