The EDA scene has changed a lot this year: After Altium was acquired by Renesas, it completely switched to a subscription model, EAGLE officially discontinued sales on June 7,
and KiCad 10 can now directly import Allegro and PADS files.
Just wanted to see what everyone is using. After voting, feel free to share in the comments: which one your company requires, which one you use privately, and why.
I’ll start: for my own DIY projects, I like using EasyEDA (because you can get free PCB fabrication), and at work I use KICAD (I think KICAD is a bit better than EasyEDA).
[Poll] Which board-level EDA software do you like to use?
- Altium Designer
- EasyEDA (Lichuang EDA)
- KiCad
- Cadence Allegro / OrCAD
- Siemens PADS / Xpedition
- Autodesk EAGLE (discontinued)

- Other (reply to add)
