The EDA world has changed a lot this year: After Altium was acquired by Renesas, it completely switched to a subscription model; EAGLE officially stopped sales on June 7;
KiCad 10 can now directly import Allegro and PADS files.
I just want to see what everyone is using. After voting, you can share in the comments: which one your company mandates, which one you use privately, and why.
I’ll start: For personal DIY, I like to use EasyEDA (because you can get free PCB prototyping), and at work I use KiCad (I feel KiCad is a bit better than EasyEDA).
[Poll] Which board-level EDA software do you like to use?
- Altium Designer
- EasyEDA (LCEDA)
- KiCad
- Cadence Allegro / OrCAD
- Siemens PADS / Xpedition
- Autodesk EAGLE (discontinued)
- Proteus
- Other (reply to add)
